That's just realistic. It's not a bug or a issue

Porsche vs Mazda springs to mind. In the main most things accelerated differently. That’s a big old girl you’re getting moving

About 5 to 6 minutes to reach 280 on a flat surface. On a steep gradient they even lose speed.

The ICE 1 is a very heavy train. It’s really quite impressive how fast it can actually get given this weight.

I just checked and you are right the Train is 849 t (836 long tons; 936 short tons) (12 car trainset) but the ICE3 is 409 t (403 long tons; 451 short tons) (ICE 3) 435 t (428 long tons; 480 short tons) (ICE 3M)

Pretty decent acceleration then when you consider you're looking at the weight of a freight train

I actually like the acceleration curve, feels like the train has some mass and inertia, unlike all the 42x units on the other German routes which do accelerate like a sports car.
