I posted a thread in the technical forum because I was having issues with the preserved collection… I had TSW on PS4 and bought 6 add ons. I recently bought TSW2 for PS5. I was expecting all my old add ons that were in the Preserved Collection to be free. To my surprise, when I went to find them in the PlayStation store, it wanted me to pay $39 Canadian again for each one. I contacted support but got no helpful answer. I figured it out myself: your TSW PS4 purchases are automatically free on TSW2 PS4. BUT if you are going straight to TSW2 on PS5 there are some hoops. Here are the steps to follow because I couldn’t find this info when I searched: 1. Go into your purchased library, find TSW2, click it. It will give you the option of PS5 version or PS4 version. Click on PS4. Then click on add ons. You should see all your TSW Preserved collection free. 2. Select each one and start the download. Even if you don’t have the PS4 version of the game installed. 3. Cancel each download right after it starts. 4. Go back to Library, TSW2, but this time select the PS5 version. Now when you go in add ons, all your preserved collection should show as “purchased” and will be free to download and install on PS5.
Sony really don't make this easy do they? Just had to go though this rigmarole as I bought the BR155 in today's sale. I always buy the TSW2020 version of the preserved collection in case I want to play in on my PS4 and then had to faff to unlock the PS5 version! Glad you got it sorted though.
