Hello everyone, I have owned TSW for about 4 months on PS4 and I have many questions, I hope you can all help me, its very difficult and hard to find answers for these things, even though I searched a lot. On the Class 166, there is a "Reading Light" in the cab, what does this do? do I turn it on or off? I can't see any light come on when I turn it on, what am I supposed to be looking at exactly? as I seen no light go on or off when I press it. How do I honk the horn low and high, by pressing down on the left stick? it only sounds high horn, but I want low too. Some of my trophies have not unlocked, even though I have already completed the requirements, this is so frustrating and upsetting, for example I have collected all collectibles on WSR, but I have not been given a trophy for it?? whats going on?, I have every collectible and followed a guide. So where is my trophy?. Why are many of my trains empty without passengers? I have noticed that 8 times out of 10 I have only 2 or 3 people in the entire train, but should there not be lots of passengers?. I seen other trains go past me on the other track and its filled with passengers on every seat. What on earths going on. How do I change the way I look?. I want to change but I can't, it keeps taking me back to my original look, I want to wear that hat in the BR uniform, so I change it, but when I start the game again I am back to my original blue shirt. On the Class 101, on the right desk there is many buttons such as Heat/Vent, Isolator On/Off, but it won't let me click on any of them, its like they are just stuck. On the Class 66 what is the hot plate? and what does it do?, I have changed it but I don't know what it does, don't notice anything happening. When will the next TSW sale take place for PS4?, I want to buy Eastcoast Track but I don't want to pay £25 large ones, as I feel its an incredible amount of money for just 1 line and 1 train, would be happy to pay around the £12 - £15 price range. As far as I know, the reading light does not work in the Class 166. How do I honk the horn low and high, by pressing down on the left stick? it only sounds high horn, but I want low too. You need to plug a keyboard in to your PS4 and use Space bar and N to sound both horn sounds. There are lots of other keyboard shortcuts, most useful being the ones for changing the camera views and getting rid of the dot in the middle of the screen. I always play with a keyboard plugged in. On the console versions of the game the number of active passengers has been reduced to improve the performance of the game. How do I change the way I look?. I want to change but I can't, it keeps taking me back to my original look, I want to wear that hat in the BR uniform, so I change it, but when I start the game again I am back to my original blue shirt. You can’t change the look of your character in the game. The different looks in the profile menu are the different uniforms you will see on different routes in the game but they are set for each route. Not all buttons and switches are simulated in the game. There are some switches in some trains that you can flick just for fun but they won’t actually do anything. In the 101, which was modelled some time ago now, only the buttons and switches that do something in the game are playable. This is for warming food and drink on those cold nights driving freight around the country. It doesn’t do anything in the game. There has just been a sale. They come round every so often and the discounts vary depending on how long ago a route was released. It’s up to Sony when PS4 sales happen, so I don’t know when the next one will be. I agree that paying full price can be a shock. Thank you so much, and I hope you can all help me, thanks everyone! The only way I do the 'low' horn sound on consoles (without a keyboard) is to select the horn in the locomotive and push down on the thumbstick. So far, it works with all locomotives (British & German).
Yeah, frustration and upset are both things you'll need to get used to! I'm also missing quite a few trophies now - see this thread! Sales are fairly frequent and the older routes are always discounted more than newer ones so the longer you wait, the less you'll pay for each route.
