Theres several changes and tweaks going on with CSX Heavy Haul in TSW2, along with a couple of new added services if I'm not mistaken? The fact that this is coming to consoles is amazing since its something thats been asked forever, but for PCs users there's still something different about it.
Personally, I see it as CSX Heavy Haul Redux

Well yeah but it kinda depends what the new services include. Though the switching services they mention sound interesting, hopefully they're fun. Also they mention grain traffic, does that include a new gondola car or something (either entirely new or taken from another route)? I'm hoping for some use of the hump yard as well, but I doubt it'll happen.

Because on PC we already had Heavy Haul (Sandpatch route) for years. In fact It was the very first route TSW had. Due to whatever limitations the console players could not have it before. Therefore it is fantastic that they will be getting it bundled with TSW2. This news makes me only happy for them.

Or..... due to it not being designed and optimised in a way that was compatible with consoles. Nothing to do with console limitations/power.

It's also perfectly possible to design software for consoles that won't be compatible with PCs - but that would not imply that PCs are not powerful enough, or have limitations.

There is though? Sand Patch was simply badly optimized, that's why it couldn't run on consoles before. It even struggled in many PCs, while other TSW routes didn't. And there are routes that still have performance issues on consoles, even though they run just fine on PC. So what do you think would've happened if they tried running Sand Patch on consoles as it is/was?

Consoles are weaker performance wise than PCs, get over it. That's why they are cheaper after all. And that's why they needed to optimize Sand Patch and remove the badly written level crossing trigger system, so consoles can finally handle it.

This is only true some of the time. Some of the time, the reverse is the case. Get over it.

I have a fairly powerful new PC (with TSW on SSD) that can't run NTP perfectly, but the old PS4 Pro can (with HDD). Consoles have different capabilities when it comes to addressing and streaming data for graphics output - they are specialist machines built explicitly for that task.

The new PS5 will, without any doubt, whip the heck out of any PC that costs less than $3000, for many years to come. But the PS5 will be utterly terrible with handling a 100,000 row Excel spreadsheet...... ;-)
