hi i'm testing out modeling a locomotive for try and see how it goes. so this is the work so far and i'm basically using scale trains pictures et44 drawing to model the locomotive. i looked up the size of the actual locomotive from google. then make pictures the same size like Length: 74' 6" (22.71 m) Height: 16' 1" (over antennas) (4.88 m) Width: Approximately 9' 10" (2.97 m). then model around that. i could use train trainiax drawing but i couldn't find overhead view of locomotive. but i'm guessing some use the same method when making locomotive model unless you got permission to go up to the real locomotive and measure from top to bottom. it guessing game i think.
