Going south from Kassel to Würzburg there is an immense rail yard visble about 5 km out of Wrzbrg just before the last tunnel. Will we ever have access ? On my map it is just north of the train museum that lies between Zell and Veithochheim. Isn't Zell on an IC route to Frankfurt . Is it not also on a route to Hanau and Aschaffenburg ? That makes it on a route to Mainz and ...Darmstadt ? Gießen ? That rail yard could be a freight network nexus ? To me, the fates of Kassel, Darmstadt and especially the old town in Würzburg in the last world war makes them each deserving of some special attention. For me, personally, having lived in Marburg ( Lahn ) it s my personal link from Krankfurt to Göttingen. Göttingen is also tied to where i live now, as both universities were founded by the German king of England. Either could have been a prison instead, as the king had two options. And Canada could have been fated as was Australia as a debtor colony, not a remittance man colony! So, i pitch a word fo Zell and a Maintal network completion for happy fast travel explorations.
