I might be posting this in the wrong section, and I apologize if I am. Currently, I'm in the planning stage of my route project for TSC. For context, this was originally going to be built in TSW4 with the new beta route editor that was released with that game, but the steep learning curve and the intimidating interface has left me not wanting to build the route there, even though it's the only sim of the two that supports a full 24 hour timetable. That being said, I would really like to explore importing custom 3d models into TSC but I'm unsure of how to do that, and one of them, I need to perform a specific function. It's a refueling station for diesel engines. I am unsure of how I need to program that. Any help would be appreciated. I think I'll be using blender to build the models, once I can remember how to use the darn thing, as i recall having problems before.
For Blender, use the Briage plugin to export to TSC .igs shape format. Then use BlueprintEditor to make the GeoPcDx. Others will have better details on how to do this, my knowledge is only theoretical. I've tried to model stuff once, only having basic experience with MaxonCinema4D on the Amiga from 30 years ago, but it's not what I'm good at.
Here's a few things that'll help you get started Developer Documentation, don't forget to use the developer examples you will find it under downloads! Train Simulator Developer Documentation (tscdevdocs.co.uk) amabilis software - 3d Crafter 10, is completely free to get your models into Trainz, TS Classic/RW/TS20xx, MSTS. I would strongly advise to download the Windows 7 version, this does work well on Windows 10. I'm not sure about Windows 11. I am suggesting this it's because Microsoft likes to give you updates that can ruin the best of software.. Or, you could use Blender with the BRIAGE plug in Blender: blender.org - Home of the Blender project - Free and Open 3D Creation Software BRIAGE Juju49 - BRIAGE (free.fr) Or you could always use the most expansive software in the entire world.. 3ds Max! https://www.autodesk.com/products/3ds-max The choice is yours, have fun!!!
