Hi everyone, Sorry if this is the wrong place to post my question, I'm brand new to the forum. I would like to try my hand at creating assets. In particular I would really like to create animated airplanes for airports, this has been done by devs in several DLC routes (GARL for example), where the airplane accelarates, rotates/takes off and climbs into the air, then eventually at the end of the animation loop it obviously respawns on the runway. In one example, the airplane asset appeared to have a hidden rail-like base which was placed under the ground to be invisible - I'm guessing this was added either as a reference for the creator at some point, or if it helped them in some way while using whatever software/program/tool they created the model with. Anyhow, my question is if there is anything I need to know about importing animated assets into trainsim, does this work exactly the same way as if it were a static asset? I don't know if trainsim editor was designed to accomodate animated moving assets, or if this would be a normal part of the creation process. Or is it more technical, like would I need code or a lua script to execute the animation or program the loop, or where to reset the animation etc. As a total beginner any advice or knowledge would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance!
