    1. Install Razer Cortex (free) software.
    2. Go to the GAME BOOSTER > BOOST TAB and enable these two options:
explorer.exe & Launch game on Game Desktop

    TSW.TEMP.png

    3. Launch the game from GAME BOOSTER > MY LIBRARY.

This will force TSW to boot in an isolated environment and the Windows UI (graphical shell, explorer.exe) to close.

advantages: 2+ GB of physical memory free
cons: you can't use anything other than TSW when playing the game

[Alt][F12] theoretically restores Windows to its original state, but for me, it does not work.
[Ctrl][Alt][Delete] and Sign out solves this problem (after you exit the game).

My computer has 8 GB of RAM. After a few hours of testing, I came to the conclusion that it is very not enough this time. The game uses an additional 3 GB of the swap file (BRD). For me, it caused long freezes (several dozen seconds sometimes). Now it is possible to play ('short' freezes lasting a few seconds in the vicinity of Dresden).

Default settings: High, 100% screen percentage, 1920x1080

This is a good topic to explore which may be of interest to forum members with older machines.
(echoes of Quemm to extend Dos)
I’ve often wondered about smoothness of play in relation to fps.
It’s not a first person shooter so hair trigger responses are not needed unless you play with pzb
My monitor is old and is limited to 60 fps, but I’d happily live with lower if stuttering was reduced on some routes.
Obviously the game is optimised for a certain specification but how close is that to the basic requirement listed.

The function [Ctrl][alt][R] works also to quit the booster, I it works really well. I noticed a big improvement.

This game has always had stutter. I'm on a rtx 3080 and still it stutters. Dtg won't do anything about it was like it in tsw and now tsw2. It really does spoil the playability of this game. They obviously think this is ok. How nice would it be to be driving along in your train and everything is nice and smooth.
