This is something I've wanted for a while. An in game mod browser/ market place. this would be avalible for possibally both PC and console. As an xbox player i am confined to the limitations of the game and cant use anything other then creators club. its been seen in games such as Farm sims, Arma Reforger, snow runner and more.It could be seen as a Creators club 2.0 (or 3.0 depending on whatr we currently are on) this would allow the current, liverys and scenarios to be downloaded like usaul) but an official and safe place to download other mods. This included but isnt limted to sound packs, proper livery modifacation such as debranded interiors, and other small modifications such as headlights. also mods could be made toi scenery such as stations, depots or the surrounding areas. this would allow players (especially on consoles) to acess the best version of a pack they would still pay for from DTG. there are multiple packs i want tp purchase but as i am an xbox player i cannot access mods and, lets be honest not all DLCs are in the best state at the moment. this would benefit all partys; DTG would get more sales, the player is more happy with his/ her purchase and the modders could prove their skills. this could then be expanded one day for some modding partys to be '' recruited'' or contracted by DTG (or simpley allowed to upload their trains or maps(in moderation) to a marketplace such as the one seen in MSFS) to release their content or assist in the development or assist Liam in remastering old content. I really think if done correctly, would benefit most people on train sim world including Dovetail Games. This would then also give DTG more money, to allow more, bigger and better routes to be released and allowing modders/ smaller developers to prove themselves. Thanks for reading this far and I hope DTG consider this one day for us console players to have a better experience. Have a nice day.
Mods wouldn't work on consoles. Dtg would have to rebuild the mod because the techniques modders use and the technique dtg uses is vastly different. Remember it took months to get lm's sky mod into tsw2. I don't think they would be able spend years making every mod compatible and keeping it updated every time the author does so
I’m not expecting all mods to be added. But a way for creators to upload their mods to console would be nice. The same way it’s done in MSFS or farm sim or snow runner. For mod creators to do themselves. All DTG would have to do in theory is just create a platform for them to do if.
