As we anticipate the release of the Brighton mainline in the summer, I understand that there is no current intention to connect routes eg. East Coast Way, due to the difficulties in implementing this until further developments are made. I wonder if there could be a work around until the eventual joining of routes takes place. One idea I had, was for a portal to exist at Brighton station. Appearing like a objective marker on a platform, the player can walk into it and choose to switch routes, moving interchangeably between Brighton Mainline and East Coast Way (in either direction) - while maintaining the same time of day, weather conditions etc. This would allow the player to switch routes at Brighton station, without the need to navigate numerous menus. I don't know how complicated this could be, but it could be a step in the right direction, or a temporary solution, until the hopeful joining of routes in the future.
