First two things need to be made clear. I play on a Xbox One X not a series X console. Seconds I have only played 20 minutes doing a quick yard run.

The main menu where you choose route, the addition of the avatar serves no purpose and the sings saying which company runs isn't necessary either, although people may like it. Not a big fan personally of anything that doesn't need to be on screen as it reduces overall load times and requires more from the console.

A few things would be great if it didn't scroll round and round and stopped when you got to the end, also be nice to have a way to sort them, possibly mileage based or time based.

Onto driving, the external camera, I don't like that it reset back to the side window near the driver whenever you leave it, maybe its just me but I only use external for photogenic shots looking back onto the train and having to reposition it everything will become a drag.

The Orange colouring everywhere in place of the smooth light blue we used to have hurts my eyes, (I have bad eyesight) be nice to choose an option.

I has to re download all my dlc which wasn't fun however it mostly sorted it except for me ECW BR heavy freight and the Class 33 still don't work.

And finally one little thing, maybe it was the route I was on but I was testing some basic movement on SPG and I had a red signal, I was 26yd away from it according to the hud yet I got a signal passed at danger scenario failed come up.

Hard agree, even on Series X which has no problem with the speed at which it loads it, it's just way too much visual clutter, replacing an easily navigable list.

Yeah it's really easy to overshoot back to the beginning. I have noticed this on loco selection on certain routes it loops, while on others it does not, so it's not even consistent.

This can be changed in the options menu, but it really wasn't clear, it needs some kind of tutorial I think.

I prefer this palette as it is FAR softer on my eyes (I have INTENSE blue light hypersensitivity and it causes me physical pain to look at blue UIs, where every element all blurs into a blue smear, even with the blue light filter on my monitor set to max) but a toggle would be good, yes.
