    Hi all,

During an update scan Intel offered to Install the graphics tool Intel ARC Control.

I installed it but doubt that I need it on my below laptop system...
    • Model: HP Pavilion x360 14-ek0975nd
    • Operating System: Windows 11 Home 64-bit
    • CPU: 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1255U
    • RAM: 16096 MBytes
    • Motherboard: HP 8A34 (U3E1)
    • Resolution: 1280x720 pixels@60Hz
    • GPU: Intel Iris Xe Graphics (HP) , Driver 31.0.101.4091
    • DirectX Version: DirectX 12
    • Storage: 1TB SSD
    • Audio: B&O , Realtek High Definition Audio
    • Train Simulator: Version V74.8a
What is your opinion, does ARC Control improve things for Train Simulator Classic ?

This is used only on your native graphics (integrated in your CPU). If you are using a discrete graphics card it is of no use.

Thanks RWA. What is a discrete graphics car ?

I am using the one that is listed, the Intel Iris Xe Graphics (HP). So will it actually be an improvement or can I better remove it ? Only thing I like about it that it allows me to use BETA drivers.

A discrete graphics carD is a separate Graphics Card -
As you have a Laptop (which you did not mention) I doubt you would have a Graphics Card

    Thanks Peter.

Correct, as listed in the specs in my first post I am using my Intel Iris Xe Graphics (HP) ,

14" laptops with a real gaming card, and a touch screen so I can use it like a tablet too, are just about non existant.

So will it actually be an improvement to the gaming experience or can I better remove it ? Any idea ?

As you do not have a discrete GPU it wouldn't hurt to try, you could always uninstall it at some point. Remember laptops are not supported and especially if not a gaming laptop with a discrete GPU.
