As Matt talked about the IC yesterday, i wanted to give this a go. So what we already got is a BR 101 as well as the Bpmmz and Avmmz coaches. The interesting thing about the Intercity is that there are tons of different first and second class coaches. While the ingame "Avmmz" means it's first class modernised compartment coach, the "Avmz" is basically the same, but with not modernised interior. Same for the Bpmmz and Bpmz. Of course there are also Apmmz/Apmz coaches, which would mean - first class ("A") - open space seating - modernised (or unmodernised if it is just one "m") (- we ignore the "z" here because if only says something about the way the coaches are powered with electrcity) (That's an Apmz - so cosy, right? Source) Or Bvmz/Bvmmz, which means: - second class ("B") - compartment seating ("v") - modernised ("mm") or unmodernised ("m") So the exterior 3D-model as well as sounds can be reused from the ingame coaches, but the interior has the change to the unmodernised version. There are maaaany other coaches, for example the Aimz, which is basically like the Avmz, but the "i" means it is a former InterRegio coach with the corresponding interior. etc. etc. etc. Then we got several differenz restaurant coaches like the WRmh: - WR: Restaurant coach - m: unmodernised (- h: something about the electricity= Or the ARmz: - AR: Half of the coach are first class seats (BR would be second class seats), the other half is filled with the kitchen and restaurant seats (- m and z: look above) Or the ARkimbz: - AR: look above - k: bistro - i: former InterRegio coach - m: unmodernised - b: accessible for people with hadicaps - z: type of powering and electrcity (This one is a InterRegio bistro - beautiful, innit? Source) Of course there are more types, but i guess this is enough to understand it. And then we finally have the cab car: Bimdzf: - B: 2nd class - i: unmodernised - d: area for special use like bycycle storage - z: powering - f: cab car (it's a nostalgic beauty, but still in use (Source)) BDms: - B 2nd class - D: storage - m: unmodernised - s: side enterance for bagagge So how can we see them ingame? - Together with a BR 120. Would make perfectly sense. Could be a DLC for HMA, as you don't have to do sandwich formtions anymore. - As part of a new route. Whatever comes after Dresden-Chemnitz, I hope it is one where intercity layers can be used again. A route like Cologne-Koblenz could be very well possible. The "new" train is the Intercity, either with the reused 101 + cab car + restaurant or with the all new 120 + cab car. If the loco is completely new, i think it's more than okay if the coaches are reused. What do you think?
