From the next timetable change, a 2-hourly Intercity service will be introduced on Ruhr-Sieg Nord, linking Frankfurt with Muenster. This will use IC2 stock (the double deckers) which strengthens their case to be a new addon for TSW. They are also regularly used on Dresden - Riesa, Wuppertal - Hagen, infrequently on Munich - Augsburg and can be seen at Koeln and Duisburg. They are a development of the Dostos used in many routes, not identical, and with a different interior, but the fact that this stock already exists gives you a headstart. Traction is provided by 146s and 147s, which are a variation of the new 187.
