So I've spent a few hours with the new DLC on PS5 now and the first thing I'll say is that it is a stark improvement over Rivet's past endeavours. It is a good DLC and in comparison with other TSW2 content, it is a great DLC. Here are some of the things i liked about it in no particular order:

    • Throughout my time playing, i have felt well immersed.

    • I love that you have to use the cab door key/button to operate the cab door.

    • The guard panel is fully working so you can roleplay as a guard quite well.

    • There is a working automatic door at Ryde pier head.

    • The route collectibles are cute.

    • The horn is pretty good, it does loop when blasting the whistle though.

    • You can adjust the cab chair height.

    • AWS is functional when putting the train on other UK routes using scenario planner.

    • The track looks very natural (unlike west Cornwall local).

    • Brading signal box is very cool.

    • The route detail is great.

    • The price is superb if you don't already have IOW.

    • There is a phone pickup sound when contacting the signaller.

    • The cab is well detailed.

The only thing left to do on Rivets part is to polish off some of the bugs and make this route an example of what the standard for new content should be. So far, well done!

P.S. I think the sparks happen way too frequently in dry weather, please correct me if these trains are actually very sparky :)
