Hi, I have lived in Iowa my whole life and have always wanted to drive the IAISRR. If you don't know what the Iowa interstate is, it is a line that runs from Omaha to Chicago. It is the old Rock Island route, they even have a ES44AC painted like an old Rock Island engine. They mostly run mixed freight but they have an old Chinese/American steam locomotive that runs a passenger service. Anyway you can look into it, Driving through the many high trestle bridges of Council Bluffs through the roaming plains of central Iowa to the Metropolis of Chicago on the old Rock Island Route sounds amazing.
Iowa has quite a few railroads, the amount they used to have is amazing. It is interesting to check out on a historical map.
Chinese Steam on the Catalog: http://railworks.banal.net/catalog/pages/China-Steam.html QJ download: http://railworksamerica.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7722 II QJ download: http://railworks.banal.net/downloads/downloads.html I find it interesting how many railworks players don't know about the freeware or payware for smaller sites that exists for their game, only about the official paid DLC or payware from major sites. For instance, Britkits (http://www.dickyjim.com) provides lots of (payware) American steam locomotives but I hardly see any screenshots of them outside Railworks America. Or the freeware 4-4-0s, 2-8-0s and 4-4-2s from RWA.
It's also worth pointing out that on the site that you can download the II QJ from, there are also a few reskin of diesels into II colors.
