    Athy (Kildare) to Kilkenny
Its a 42km or 26 mile long route operated by a class 22k/ICR train [IMG]
this train can come in many different formations like 5 car, 4 car, 3 car, 7 car(coupled) and 6 car (coupled)
The train has a max speed of 100mph but for this route the max speed is about 50-60 mph
the Tracks are singe 5ft 3in tracks with lot’s of curves and Slopes and bridges

Here we have Kilkenny macdonagh a terminus station all services from Heuston to Waterford(the line these stations from) and back come into her swap sides and go back same direction [IMG]
(this was for a war memorial)
    Then here we have Athy
    [IMG]

there is also a Junction near kilkenny that freight passes by so it doesn’t go to macdonagh.
If this is the modern era then this would be it but if DTG wants more trains they could set this in early 2010s(before this train was mainly dominant and also used class 29000 commuters)

this is the end of this request hope u guys like it
Edit: I forgot to mention this train has 2 stops called carlow and Bagnelstown and route time is about 30 mins

You have to remember that they would have to build all new track assets as our gauge is 5ft 3" or 1600mm in metric, wider than UK standard gauge.

The Irish market base is very very small compared to the big 3. From a pure sales point in make no economic sense to make considering all the unique assets that would need to be made for any Irish route to work.

MSTS Enterprise North and South from many years back will have to do us.

or maybe we could keep the same gauges as Uk but if dovetail wants to make it realistic then they’d have to switch the track size

How about the UK Belfast area that can also work. Northern Ireland its 1.6m Irish Gauge 5ft 3in requires new track assets but offset with existing Train protection system for UK AWS TPWS DSD Driver's remainder appliance.

Yeah exactly we could still have Belfast central to Portadown since that’s like 34 mins highspeed and idk how long is the stopper service
