The immersion level of TSW can´t be really that bad. It´s giving me the creeps if I 1st) have to pass a red signal (even though with authorization from the dispatcher) and 2nd) drive towards the rear end of another train in my block. Is this possible IRL and if so, does it happen frequently?
From what I've read from other forum members, yes it can happen due to norac or something. Multiple trains can occupy the same block. You see this example in Harlem where the trains are literally right behind each other. In terms of actually doing the scenario, I would advise you to use safety and signaling systems and go the speeds it tells you to. That allows more space between your train and the trains in front of you and prevent last minute hard braking. And wait until the light turns green before proceeding onto the mainline.
Thanks, very interesting. I´ll keep your advise in mind. On a second side note: Is it just me or why on Earth does almost every scenario on Boston Sprinter happen under such awful weather conditions? No sunshine in these woods? Suicide rate must be rocketing ...
When rush hour routes came out (Boston, Brighton, Dresden) they all had a selected season for scenarios. Boston is winter.
Like the user above said, the main feature of Boston sprinter was winter, specifically how the trees look I believe. Dra was night time lighting. Bml was autumn i believe, but idk. In real life, it's much more colorful.
Boston Sprinter Journey is a bit depressing with that constant winter theme. Autumn would have been more appropriate for the gateway to "New England". Or better still mix and match, which all the Journeys on every route should do.
