If you are on PC there are a few horn mods out there for the US locos that replace the stock horns with something more prototypical.

As hyperlord mentions, there are quite a few on TrainSimCommunity. I use quite a few of them myself. If you use any more than one or two mods you might also be interested in a utility from the same community TSW2 Mod Manager which makes taking care of them very easy. I really liked the mods that came out for Cane Creek - made it so much better for me the loco sounds and route sounds were great adn the K3LA horn made the deal for me yiqoyuhi Paul
