I plan on pre-ordering the PS4 edition of TSW and the only thing that has really started to worry me is all the problems i have seen with the xbox version (low framerate, render distance ect) unlike the PC version and i really dont want to spend £45 on a game which does not live up to its full potential. Another thing which worries me is the lack of content and the idea of all added vehicles being DLC rather than included in updates. I believe in TSW but until i know these things will not be a problem then i dont think i will be happy spending my money on it.
Depends if you got a beefy PC or not. I'll say what I done. Since I don't have a decent enough computer to run it, I was quite let down as I was looking forward to this game. Luckily, I've got an Xbox One (S, if you want to be precise :P ) too, so I bought it on that and trust me, it's great. If you have a good enough computer, buy it on the PC, less hassle. But then again, the Xbox in some places gives you more FPS than on videos I've seen, never had any stutters. So, If you've got a good enough PC to run it, sure, go for it on PC. If not, and you have an Xbox (Or PS4 now), buy it on console.
I have an Xbox X I hope it looks good. Quick question can you run like a free mode where it’s no services just do what you want?
Not really. There's service mode where you can spawn any train or spawn as a person and drive any TIMETABLED service, although you might be able to leave the stations whenever you want and pass through them, etc. But no, it's not like quick drive.
Thats great thanks! I was worried that the graphics would cause frame rate issues but If its 40fps or above then thats more than enough. My main question is, whats the render distance like? (Dont really want to see the map loading in front of me)
After the patch i noticed it to run smoother on my One S now, less stutter. Before the update it wasnt close to steady fps, now its better. Personally dont think its more than 30 though but hard to tell. Havent tested the performance post patch on my One X, yet.
