Ishinomaki Line: Kogota - Onagawa Set entirely within the picturesque landscape of Miyagi Prefecture in Japan's Tohoku region, the Ishinomaki Line connects the towns of Misato in the south and Onagawa in the north, and travels through a mixture of wide open plains, rural cities and coastal vistas. Midway along the line sits the important junction station of Ishinomaki, which serves to connect the line to the Senseki Line, which follows this line for the remainder of the route to Onagawa. Following the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami, several parts of the line were severely damaged or even destroyed outright, later being rebuilt; this includes the section between Urashuku and the terminus at Onagawa, which has a particularly striking new station building, with an interesting attraction housed alongside it in the form of a built-in onsen facility. Rolling Stock As this line is not electrified, rolling stock on the route is provided primarily through two classes, the KiHa 110 series DMU, which runs stopping services, and the HB-E210 series Diesel-Electric multiple unit, which runs express trains along the line. For historical services, the KiHa 48 series DMU could also be featured; this class, which was introduced in the 1980's, is among the most numerous DMUs in Japan today, and is still in operation on a wide variety of routes across the country; up until at least 2015, they also operated on this line.
Bring it on and I can see them also layer to a Kyoto Kansai Region JR West and Central Route if Union Workshop decided to do so.
