I've been trying to recreate some freight scenarios, 4 on the WCML over Shap route and 1 on the GEML so far using past WTT. The problem is that the timings seem very liberal, on a typical northbound freight service on the WCML over Shap, a 75mph freight train is passing Lancaster 7 minutes earlier than the WTT says it should be. Has anybody ran into this problem before and could anybody tell me where I am going wrong?
It can be like that in real life if the freight is shown slower so a passenger can depart without delaying it With a 150 or 156 we were timed 20 mins from departing Preston to arriving Lancaster A freight passing non stop thru both locations is allowed 21 - 25 mins This one was 3 early at Preston and 10 early at Tebay because the train in front did not run https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/H36449/2020-08-12/detailed And the time it takes to get to line speed is a lot less in the game Peter

So I went in to Train Planning for FNW/Northern until 2016 when I retired Based at Manchester Picc I used to drive 142/150/153/156/158 over the Preston - Lancaster line - Amongst others My profile picture was taken by a friend on a 156 Peter
