Today, I was playing around in the route builder, trying to re-create Chicago's Alton Junction circa late 1940s-early 50s, when I ran into a problem. Due to a dip in terrain, the tracks keep overlapping incorrectly, creating a bit of a mess, and I can't figure out how to stop this from happening. Attached below are some screenshots and a diagram of Alton Junction itself for reference. Thanks in advance if anyone can help!

The track layout seems wrong to me. I think your tracks are in the wrong place, which isn't going to help! See my sketch:

Once you've got the track layout correct the next thing to do is to go track by track lifting each section to the same height (or as close as you can get it) to the track it crosses over. Then weld any broken joints and use the weld to tool to create the crossings.

    As you currently have it:

Select and lift the crossing section of the first track and select the weld tool:

Click the grey boxes for the two crossing points and to repair the broken joints after lifting:

    Same process for each track:

The crossings may have sleepers (ties) at funny angles, but that's just a limitation of Railworks. Hope this helps!
