Hey guys, I need help. Wanted to drive some freight with the SD 70 or the ES 44. I can find the alerter and turn it on. But the game still request ACSES or ATC ACSES for 65 AP. So i have no idea what to do. I'm not going to drive another hour with just 35 AP. Wanted to change my silver medal (which i earned in TSW 4) for a platinum medal. Maybe someone can put a foto in here where the request systems are hidding.
I play freight in Antelope valley i dont think that safety system s work on the SD70 ES44 freight locos .so gold medals is as high as you can get..at least when i ve played .Plus the ES44 SD70 ace are only layered in from Cajon and Sherman Hill for the few freight services ..what i havent tried is the F125 with freight in free roam it does have a freight setting but in regular time tables its just used for passenger only
hm. Okay. I'm going to reinstall San Bernadinho line. I can't swear right now, but i'm quite sure i drove freight there with 65 AP. Means the alerter alone is all you need or whatever. will try to find out. I still think i was able to get the 65 AP out of every route where the advanced scoring is used (at least for timetables like GWR). 3 of 4 steam locos have no safety system at all, but you are rewarded automatically with 65 APs on WSR and other routes.
Okay, no 65 AP for freight in San Bernadino too. Would be nice if somebody could clarify if its intended or just a bug DTG Alex The alerter is active and the game still wants ATC ACSES for full points. I wasn't aware that freight trains run with this so im confused because too me it just looks like a bug. On other routes and other locos (steam) you handled this quite well in my opinion. So please, don't screw freight around LA completely ps: tested San Bernandino BNSF-L-CAL0121 and in the first try, i derailed after uncuppling, whats the first task ... pps: as on Bremen-Oldenburg i do spawn at random locations when choosing some short timetables, even with fast travel it's impossible to reach the loco before AI takes over.
I have played all freight services on antelope valley and the highest medal is gold you don't get points for using the alerter and safety systems don't work i think I stand corrected you can earn platiunm for on antelope valley but if I remember correctly you can't turn of safety systems unless you are using a keyboard if you are using a console controller then you can't switch them on also san bernardino line freight I have only used the sd40 jobs and got platiunm in all off them
Yeah but i can drive my CJP F7 with safety system (has also just one) and get 65 AP which is required to hit platinum on the 1 service in timetable where it's driveable. So I expect to activated the alerter on the modern locos and get my 65 AP for hitting B like 3 times in 1 hour And how i said, on other routes the issue doesn't exist. There the game registers which safety system the loco has and then tells you to put exactly that on for more points. I will wait before driving BNSF around LA. But thanks for your answers
i play on x box series x guess thats why i dont get the platinums on freight in antelope or San Bernadino. I just play to get gold since i prefer to use controller than a keyboard
I find platinum is overrated, I'm a pirate, so it's gold all the way, just gotta find somewhere deserted to bury my haul of loot.....
Why worry about "AP", it doesn't actually unlock anything? Do your freight run and enjoy it then if you really want Action Points just do a commuter run like the Bakerloo Line or something else with about 20 stops in a short time and you'll be getting between 15 and 20k AP easily.
You should be able to hit the switch manually. In the F125 and MP36 it's in the fuse box; in the cab car it's on the wall above the window.
Same with the passenger engines, in the California routes. The New York and Boston area routes are the only places where PTC has been implemented in TSW.
