Just did a run on SEHS on TSW4. Two of the stations are completely broken. Chatham and Rochester are broken in three different ways. 1. No passengers spawn at the stations, and no passengers get off the train at the stations. 2. The PIS boards on the stations don't show any info, only solid orange: 3.The collectibles don't work at the stations, I've walked up to all the map points, they are blank and won't complete: These obviously all worked in TSW3. So I'm guessing the updates they did to the route in TSW4 broke it. Can someone tag DTG? I have no idea how to do that.
Were you playing a service or a scenario? I just spawned on foot at Chatham and Rochester (at 10:00 - full timetable) and the PIS is working fine and there are passengers wandering around. When the 10:01 and 10:02 arrived at Chatham,.Passengers got on and off both of them. (Playing on Steam). If you let me know what you were doing, I'll try and recreate it. I'm going to be playing SEH Later anyway.
Collectibles are there for me (probably because I got them all), and the PIS seems to be working also. On Xbox at least.
I think the OP is on steam based on some other posts. They reported the same issue at Seaford on East Coastway yesterday and I can't recreate that either. PIS and Passengers are both working fine for me at that station as well. So I do wonder if they've got an INI or mod that is causing it. If they tell me the services, I'll try them myself.
Service mode, 375, One of the Dover Priory to London Victoria ones on the full timetable. All the other stations were fine, it was just the final two that weren't. I can't tell you exactly which one, as apparently it didn't save the medal lol. If I spawn in on foot it's fine, so it's something to do with the service, not the route itself.
Confirmed - Service 1P28 - No Passengers at Chatham and PIS is blocked out as in the photos in the OP. So the problem is repeatable. Rochester was fine though- I do have the signal mod installed, so I'll try it again without that just to be sure.
PIS got broke on that route for trains, hopefully if the whole system is a wreck then it may get fixed…
Another problem with the ps4 version is the 700 doesn’t appear on the route unless your driving one
Same issue on service 9P08 Rainham to Luton in the class 700 at Chatham. No passengers and blocked out PIS. Also, again on this route lighting is not working off ambient light, so driving through stations at 0630 on an October morning and the stations are pitch black. Very few (if any at all) of the AI trains have PIS displayed either I’m so tired of this.
i just did the 1p28 service with the 375 blue version no problems with the PIS and passengers it worked fine on all stations the other version worked fine too only using mods that have an TSW 4 tag on trainsimcommunity
Just had it happen on Glossop Line as well. Service 2G07: Stations were all fine till Dinting, but no passengers on station, none getting off, and the PIS is solid orange:
Just to confirm, you're not using any mods and your graphics drivers are up to date? The textures for the PIS font getting corrupted isn't something I've seen before, and my instinct with the collectibles is that you've already grabbed that collectible but the texture it's supposed to swap to when collected isn't loading correctly.
Graphics driver is up to date yes, updated it for Lords of the Fallen at the weekend. No mods that effect anything on these routes. Just some sound mods, and the rain mod. It was only the PIS at this one station, surely if it was a graphical/texture issue it would have affected the stations before and after them? In the Glossop picture above, only Dinting was like that, all the stations before it, and Glossop after it worked as normal. It's also not just the textures, as there are no passengers spawning at these stations, or getting off the stations. Weirdly, it's only when on the service as well. If I spawn in at Dinting on foot, the PIS works fine, and there are passengers. So I think it's something connected with the service?
Does this happen regardless of how you arrive at those stations? The examples you've given so far involve driving to them, if you spawn on foot at those locations, do you get the same results? If so; I would ask that you try with no mods, but also (I promise I'm saying this because I think it could help, I don't have a script!) try a verify and repair within steam (I know it takes ages, sorry)
If I spawn in on foot at the stations, they work fine. I just tried a different service, going the other way, and when I arrived at Dinting, it worked fine. So currently it seems tied to the service, or direction. Rather than simply the location. I'll try a verify and disable all mods.
So just tried another run, no mods installed of any kind, and verified TSW4 files through Steam. Issue is still happening, although it isn't a 100% chance. Sometimes I redo the service and it is fine. Had it happen on two different services on Birmingham Cross City. 1. Service 2P18, happens at Kings Norton: Also happens at University, though this time passengers work here? 2. Service 2U19, happens at the second station on the service, Alvechurch. This is using the game in DX12 mode, but I'm not sure how that would cause passengers to not spawn on platforms/exit the train and break the PIS?
The PIS font issue isn't unique to TSW4...I used to randomly encounter this in TSW3 as well. I posted about it a couple of times and had no real response. I was dismayed to find out it still occurred in TSW4
Will Marshall Any idea what could be causing this? It's happening with no mods installed, and it doesn't seem to happen every time at the same stations.
When I used DX12 (in combination with some recommended ini settings) I had the issue that textures wouldn't load. Text would consist of blocky lines just like the PIS screens in your example. After removing some streaming related settings like r.Streaming.MaxTempMemoryAllowed from my engine.ini it worked again, even with DX12
yeah weird texture things can happen if those streaming memory numbers are set wrong (too high) just read the guide from geloxy
