Just want an option to make the in game me look a tiny bit like the real me, or at least just remove the ponytail!!

Is that too much to ask for a game in 2025?

Surely a very simple feature to integrate. Even if they only let us pick from a passenger model that already exists.

I thought you could pick what your character looks like? I'm very sure you could in TSW2020, albeit just from a pre-defined list.

At the beginning and from a tiny selection.

And then it is locked in forever!!

Minor gripe but it is annoying that as a red head and with plenty of NPCs having red hair I couldn't select it as an option.

it's almost 2026 and the formation designer seems to have never left the beta phase (even though the beta tag was removed a long time ago)

I hate that pony tail my driver avatar has. I like it when I drive the DB BR155 and a bug replaces my character with a different one, a chap with no hair. The only time in history someone cheers and rejoices with the exclamation “hooray, I’ve gone completely bald” because at least they don’t have that 1990s graphic designer haircut any more. The rest of the time it’s like “Ya, Hi, Tarquin, it’s Quentin here. Just letting you know I’ll have the finished design for the cover of this week’s Smash Hits done by end of play today. Love to Sophie, bye” before setting off in a Class 101 in TSW. Just let me snip it off, DTG.

I’m far more interested in being able to drive trains without bugs that what my ‘avatar’ looks like

Ditto this. I get the wife (sorry, ask her nicely) to give me a razor cut every six weeks or so - the bits that haven’t already gone bald - so I would much rather my driver avatar matches that than some random construct of the game. Go back to the days of the original Mass Effect and you could fully customise how your player looks even to the point, if you wished, importing builds that other players had set up. I remember doing all three ME games playthrough looking suspiciously like Jason Statham!

I know it's not a massive quality of life change but it would be nice to see some more avatars

I hate how they gave mine who used to have that one a buzz cut. It's ridiculous as my original avatar with the hair I picked her for still spawns in sometimes in the cab with me (pictured below). But all because DTG transposed a couple of values for the male and female ones in TSW4, my hair's gone. And don't get me started on the free chemotherapy that comes with driving a TGV!
    I WANT MY PONYTAIL BACK!

    Yes, that should be possible.
It would also be really nice if you could create and edit your avatar to match your real-life appearance.

Some sort of character customisation would be nice, but I personally wouldn't want such a feature adding right now when there are currently more important issues with the game. The ponytail being on the first male avatar seems more like a bug as his original hair style is now on one of the female avatars instead. Do wish they'd at least fix that!

I accidentally picked the male avatar with the ponytail when I started in 4 because I didn't even realise he had one. Having said that, I agree with the post above, there are more important problems with this game than a ponytail right now

The thing is, as simple of a fix as reverting this would probably be 1-2 lines of work, and they KNOW where to fix it among a tiny section. It is emblem, atic of a much deeper rot within their ability and desire to be bothered with fixing anything.

    Wait WHAT?

I only ever took them on XBox using the console dashboard's inbuilt screenshot button that put them in my regular gallery like I do with every game... Like using F12 on Steam... Does the photo mode do it differently with internal ones taken via it?

Yeah, you can't delete them via the in game 'delete' function from the photo gallery.

    It just does nothing!!

    Last I checked anyway.
