It looks like as there is no streaming next week from DTG, l would assume that the next roadmap won’t be until January 14th at the earliest. Manchester Airport Commuter and Mittenwaldbahn: Innsbruck-Garmisch-Partenkirchen, were both in the three month section last November and two months have passed, so hopefully their respective release dates will be announced in the roadmap or soon after.
Yep..it will be week after next the roadmap inferring from announcement section post and I hope we hear about the ats route also.
I'm hopeful Manchester Airport will be soon as Glossop just got an 80% discount on PS store. Never interested me before but I though for £3.99 it's not bad to add an extra branch from Piccadilly when everything is released.
Yep I'm tempted to do this. What layers are on the Glossop route? 158s and some freight I'm guessing?
looking forward to more details on the Dutch route ... and hopefully there will be some fixes to Antelope Valley Line, cos recent updates broke some stuff in cab car and such
I am looking forward to more details in regards to new routes in particular the Mildmay Line. Hopefully they announce a few new routes aswell
I hope they’ll show release dates for the Manchester commuter, and show some more screenshots and info on the NLL and the Cardiff route
I am only interested in the Mildmay Line so far so I hope they announce an extention to that route but highly unlikely at this point given it has not even released. Additionally, more London routes would be great
At this point the only thing I want to see is substantial progress on sorting out the many bugs infesting the programme, before I even consider spending more money on DLC.
I agree. High up on my list is the appalling fps when Creators' Club rolling stock makes an appearance as AI traffic.
I have FPS drops, but also whole coaches in the middle of the CC train are invisible. So like on a 9 car azuma, it'll all be moving but I can only see coaches 1 2 and then maybe 5 and then 9 or something with gaps in between
By what's been said, I wouldn't expect any dlc announcements. Maybe a release date and a few dev updates and that'll be your lot.
The RFTV update mentions key dates for the next release. The only thing i could think of is either Mittenwaldbahn or Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn. Mildmayline is a bit too early to be released in my opinion and there is no other route in a releaseable state. Mittenwaldbahn maybe even is the only one as Pfälzische wasnt on the coming soon category in November, while Mittenwald was. The Metrolink loco could be a thing too tho.
I think I will join Vern on his boat, though an update on the Class 104 would not lead to a complaint!
Not to mention Mildmay is a solo dev so that may take a LONG time compared to other dlc at the same stage of development
Season of reveals put us several months out in terms of releases. In fact I would be pleasantly surprised if time is found to toss in any more route DLC before TSW6. I’m just hoping a patch is announced with more fixes to Antelope, the Christmas Metrolink pack, more optimization for WCML, etc. I’d love to see more about the GWR remaster as well.
Boats are just about the worst method of travel IMHO. Trains, planes, trams even buses great but had more than my share of slow tedious sea crossings over the years. In fact way back in the early 80’s, on my first trip to Europe, the thought of 12 hours sat on a hard DB compartment seat from Copenhagen to Hoek of Holland, then 7 hours on the Princess Beatrix overnight to Harwich, sent me scarpering to Kastrup airport and treated myself to a British Airways flight back to Heathrow. First time on a plane, great! I did try a couple of those yachting games but couldn’t get the hang of angling the sails if the wind is blowing the opposite way you want to travel!
Yes it will take its time, but you saw the screenshots from the creator as the London editor project still was active. Some people have a sense and the knowledge how the editor works, so this stuff doesnt take them that long. If you remember, 1 year ago the member pilot21 announced 2 editor projects within 3 months. The explaination for that was "Once you understand how it works, its easy". But well have to see whats coming as these projects require licensing and a Tsw standart too.
Yeah, annoying isn't it? I've binned all my CC liveries for the Azuma. I just about tolerate the FPS drop on WCMLS, just because I like the variety for the 350s...but really does need a fix!
I think the ATS route will be given its due date.. they’ve been tinkering with various lighting bits since we first started getting information several months back. I expect the route is incredibly well-polished now and will be the first of a new trickle of modern UK routes over the next few months.
To God, If The Manchester Airport Commuter Does not have the same Price circumstances as Glossop Line, then it has to be a scam trust
How? It’s two separate branches one being a side and the other being a mainline, the only things they share are train and Manchester Piccadilly, it’ll probably be normal price.
Additionally however it would be nice to get the same price circumstances that saw a discount for those who already owned BCC/Glossop, for this to go toward a price reduction on Manchester Airport Commuter.
I just have a nasty feeling, despite being a short route using a recycled train, the bean counters at ATS and DTG will be pushing this at £30. Probably no preorder 10% discount either, being a third party.
Yes Alan, work for basically nothing tyvm Edit: just done some calculations. You want to pay no more than £2.40 (assuming the route retails for £29.99), I believe Steam takes a 30% cut, and assuming Dovetail take another 20%, that leaves ATS with £1.20 with which to pay staff and other costs.
Sadly PlayStation players never get these kinds of discounts PS Plus for those who have the sub only, and only in certain circumstances. 10-20% perhaps reasonable, but any more isn’t fair on the dev as although it is a recycled train, it is a new route and sounds like aspects of the train have been improved too.
Can I join you in your parallel universe where you don't have to work for a living and everything is basically free!
I do agree it’s bad, and unfair that PS players don’t get the discounts - but as far as I understand that’s unfortunate Sony’s fault due to system limitations
Thats Not what im saying, So if u bought two routes that were expensive and u don't feel like we should get a discount FOR A SIMILAR Route that is reusing a 323 once again...
Given the announcements made, we have the 11 routes (and maybe even 12 this season!) that we have every year. There will logically be no route announcements before the TSW6 Dovetail Direct next August.
l doubt they will announce a new route, but it would be a very pleasant surprise. To be honest there is a huge amount in the pipeline and l feel that most of these will be completed or nearing completion before we all hear of another route announcement. l am looking forward to receiving what they have already announced in the pipeline.
Even though it's a very cut down prospect from what it should have been, I'm going to find a guilty pleasure in Cardiff City Network. And Mittenwald will be pretty much an essential purchase. Anything else more likely optional, assuming the Class 104 and Tadami remain teetering on the vapourware side.
For a start we don't even know what the price is. As far as I am concerned we are paying for a new route by a new developer whether it reuses an existing train or not. Also, I think wanting a 92% discount (which you seem to be) is both extremely disingenuous and insulting to the developer!
Well, a 92% discount is a bit outlandish and amusing. But you can't " insult " a company, however small; that's reserved for individuals. On the other hand a new route without any new stock should never be at full price.
Manchester Airport Commuter is a route l know from my youth. So that’s a first day buy for me. Won’t cost me anything as l have a ‘given’ gift card for that purchase.
If I was working for ATS building the route and I read comments like that, I would feel insulted if someone thought it was worth such a derisory amount. Whether they named me as an individual or not.
Then I would advise you not to work in any creative field where you might find your recent book on the remainder cart for a fraction of its retail price, or your painting in a garage sale for a dollar or two, or your wonderful video game at 80% off on Steam. Even DTG marks some dlc way down in a sale quite soon after release. Do you think the employees feel insulted? They've likely moved on.
This route is a new release, in fact hasn't been released, totally different from a route being on sale, maybe years after it has been released. Not sure why you are being so picky frankly. I do work in a creative field in my free time and there is a difference between criticism and your worth by denuded by people who haven't got the foggiest as to what it involves and therefore thinks it is worth very little.
