I thought Journey Mode was supposed to replicate a day in the life of... Doing for the first three services in Chapter 3 of Bakerloo, the time of day and weather conditions were all different. Not sure if I’ve misunderstood the point of Journey Mode or this is a bug.
Good question, I've wondered about that. I'm not privy to any official knowledge, but having journeyed more than a little, I'd formed the impression that the intent is to expose the player to all sorts of time and weather conditions and since they aren't in any particular order that made sense to me, I've been more or less creating my own journeys by fiddling with the weather and choosing suitable times of day. If there is a point or good reason for using Journey Mode, I'd be glad to hear what it is. P.S. I've never driven any underground.
Yeah the journey mode is meant to replicate a drivers work patttern, but the weather changes dont make sence, especially when some of the services only have 5 mins gaps between them
Some Journey chapters have been set up to be a day in the life type sequence but that’s not the standard and I don’t think it has ever been the point of it. It’s just the scenarios mixed in with selected services, with custom set weather, some of which can’t be replicated by the presets and sliders, to give the player a varied experience of the route and trains. It sometimes gets more intense or difficult as it progresses through the chapters. The weather very rarely stays constant even if the services do follow on. For that, you need to do the same services through timetable mode and set your weather to your preference.
I bet you there would be topics about how it is so boring that the weather is all the same for all 30 services in journey if it wasn't the way it is. Personally I really appreciate the different weather and seasons in journey.
