Subject: Train Sim World 6 – Suggestion to Add Jubilee Line with 1996 Stock and Automation Features

    Message:

    Hello Dovetail Games Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the incredible work you’ve done with Train Sim World 6. As a passionate fan of the game and of London’s transport network, I truly appreciate the level of detail and authenticity you bring to every route and train.

With that in mind, I would like to suggest the addition of the Jubilee Line as a future DLC or update. The Jubilee Line is particularly exciting because it features modern infrastructure and the advanced automatic train operation (ATO) system, which makes it a unique and technically interesting line to simulate.

Specifically, I would love to see the 1996 Stock trains represented in the game, as they are iconic and integral to the line’s operation. Their sleek design and modern technology contrast nicely with the Bakerloo Line’s older trains, offering players a fresh driving experience with new challenges and systems to master.

The Jubilee Line also has a fascinating history, being one of the newest lines on the Underground, with deep-level stations such as Westminster and Canary Wharf showcasing modern architecture and technology. Including this line would not only enrich the gameplay but also provide educational value about London’s evolving transit system.

Additionally, the automation features, such as ATO, could introduce exciting gameplay mechanics. Simulating automated driving, with driver supervision and manual override, would add a new dimension to TSW6’s already immersive experience.

I believe that many players would welcome this addition enthusiastically, especially those interested in modern urban rail systems and cutting-edge train technology. It would perfectly complement the existing Bakerloo Line content and expand the diversity of London Underground routes in the game.

Thank you very much for considering this suggestion. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for Train Sim World and will continue to enjoy the fantastic work your team produces.

    Best regards,
    A fan of tsw6

It's not the worst suggestion I've seen. There are quite a few already discussing the London Underground, but at least this one suggests something unique. Could you go into more detail on the ATO and why we would need it in game? How it might be modeled? How it would apply to any other routes?
As far as I can tell it just puts the train on "autopilot" which eliminates the need for the driver.
In a game that a) depends on people driving trains and b) has an option to "ride along" as a passenger already.
So... what would this give us exactly?

I’d personally love this as well. But I’d rather go back to the days of when the line was driven manually.

In the meantime, there is a rather good simulation available for OpenBVE of the jubilee line.
