I'm sure this has been discussed in the past, so my apologies, but seeing as we have all the other major modern day American railroads, BNSF, CN, CP, CSX, NS and UP currently in the game... Is there somekind of worldwide licensing situation with Kansas City Southern like there was with BNSF (that was thankfully solved), or are they just "hard to deal with" otherwise? I did notice Trainz (don't own any of those games) has a couple of KCS locos as DLC though on Steam though.

I didn't catch any discussion related to that, however, more importantly, now that it's CPKC it really shouldn't matter.
There are a few members familiar with NA 3rd party things, most engines I've seen are otherwise available so it's plausible that reskins are available. In fact:

Of course a full-on DLC might be nice for multiple reasons.

Damn, I guess I should keep up with the news a bit better, I was aware of the merger plans of course, but I didn't realise that it already happened months ago. Time really flies when you're getting older! :o And of course there are always mods, but I was thinking "official" content. I do wonder how the merger will effect (or not) the current Canadian Pacific content and does this mean there's a better chance to see (ex) KCS content going forward now.

Matt metions here that KCS was a no, and is unsure how their position is affected with CP-KCS merger.
