The Route The route is 48.3 km (30 mi) from Wellington to Paraparaumu, it was built from 1882-1886 by the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Compaany. Its electrified with 1500 V DC overhead wires and 1,067 mm (3 ft 6 in) track gauge which is narrower the most tracks. I propose the route be set in 1992. The Stations There are 14 stations on the line which are Wellington Railway Station which is the main station for Wellington Takapu Road Redwood Tawa Linden Keneperu Porirua Paremata Mana Plimmerton Pukerua Bay Muri, which is now closed Paekakariki Paraparaumu (None of the photos are from the 1990s as I couldn't find any.) The Trains The NZ EM/ET class "Ganz-Mavag", built from 1979-1982 by Ganz-MÁVAG in Hungary. Operated by Tranz Metro for commuter services out of Wellington The NZ DC class loco in "fruit salad" livery, orginaly built as DA class locos from 1961-1967 by general motors Canada, rebuilt in to DC's from 1978-1982.
