From the bustling capital of Wellington through urban and rurual New Zealand to the Seaside coast of Waikanae deal with passengers and even the rush hour in Train Sim World 3: Kapiti Line: Wellington - Waikane. Welcome all - Suggesting my first non big 3 suggestion since Christmas eve of last year (not actually joking unless I forgot something). Today we are going to New Zealand, Land of the kiwi's, Debatable existance according to maps and the flag that really should of been replaced by now. Okay joking aside New Zealand is a country with really intresting transport so why don't we show this in TSW with a nice commuter line out of the capital. Lets move on shall we. Rolling stock: FP/FT class "Matangani" EMU in Metlink livery. Scenarios: Morning Commute Challenge: Description: It's the busy morning rush hour, and you're in charge of a commuter service from Waikanae to Wellington. Navigate the congested stations, manage the high passenger demand, and ensure a smooth and punctual journey. Deal with potential delays, maintain precise timing, and deliver your passengers to their destinations safely and on time. Difficulty: 2 Emergency Stop: Description: While operating an express service towards Wellington, you encounter an unexpected obstacle on the tracks, requiring you to perform an emergency stop. React quickly, apply the appropriate emergency procedures, and bring the train to a halt safely. Communicate with control, assess the situation, and coordinate with the authorities to resolve the issue and resume operations. Difficulty: 4 Nighttime Rainstorm: Description: It's a stormy night, and heavy rain is pouring down on the Kapiti Line. Take control of a Matangi EMU on a late-night service, navigating through reduced visibility and challenging weather conditions. Manage the increased risk of slippery tracks, adjust your speed accordingly, and ensure the safety and comfort of your passengers during the stormy journey. Difficulty: 3 Express Service Sprint: Description: You're in charge of an express service from Wellington to Waikanae, and it's essential to maintain a tight schedule. Accelerate your Matangi EMU smoothly, achieve high speeds, and maintain precise timing throughout the journey. Anticipate speed restrictions, signals, and upcoming station stops to optimize your performance and provide a thrilling express ride for your passengers. Difficulty: 5 Track Inspection Duty: Description: As a driver on the Kapiti Line, you have been assigned to a track inspection duty. Operate a Matangi EMU at a reduced speed, carefully examining the tracks for any signs of wear, defects, or obstructions. Report your observations, follow safety protocols, and ensure the tracks are in optimal condition for future services. Difficulty: 2 Thanks for reading the suggestion so far. Before I get into stations I just want to test out something, a pro and con list if you will. Pros: - A new country - Not just the usual big 3 - A new and completely unique EMU to drive - A frequent timetable making it fun to drive and immersive - A good introduction to new zealand Cons: - Represants only a small part of New Zealand in its capital and east coast of the north island. - Only one train means AI can be lacking - especially at Wellington and other major stations. - Timetable can't have any trains be used for other routes currently (obviously) and likely won't ever be able to unless we get another NZ route around the area. - at only 55 KM it is a fairly straightfoward route. Overall despite the cons this would still be an amazing route. Onto the station list.
