Why does lzb slow you down so much done a couple of runs did not get to track speed once keep me at 124mph.
If there is a train ahead of you (a couple of blocks) it might not give you a yellow signal yet, but LZB will keep the speed lower. What distance and speed does your track monitor display?
124 mph sounds like it's the wind. If I remember correctly, above a certain wind speed the speed on bridges is limited to 200 kph automatically, which is also reflected in LZB of course.
