2020-07-02.png The Route Magdeburg - Wittenberge has a length of 112,5 km. The part Magdeburg - Stendal has a length of 58,7 km. This part has some stations with are in an old state. In Zielitz is a salt mine with a connection. The route is in Saxony-Anhalt.

On this route drive every 60 Minutes the S1 Schönebeck-Bad Salzelmen - Wittenberge (At weekend every 2 hours only to Stendal Hbf) from the S-Bahn Mittelelbe. Until Zielitz, there goes a train every 30 Minutes. The S1 stops everywhere. On this line drives a DB BR 425, which is already in Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr available. Sometimes the 425 is replaced by 3 Dostos (exactly the Dostos from the DB BR 182 AddOn) with a BR 146.0 or BR 112.1.
Every 120 Minutes drives an RE20 Magdeburg - Stendal - Uelzen on this route without stopping at every station. On this line drives a BR 146.0 with 3 Dostos (exactly the Dostos from the DB BR 182 AddOn). If you can't build a Traxx 1 (BR 146.2 and 185.2 are Traxx 2), you can place a 143 or 146.2.
On this route drives some freight services. Put a 185.2 or whatever with some freight car's on the route and it's done.

So this route isn't very long (~60 km) and it does need only one new train (BR 146.0), put could replace this train. Freight shouldn't be that problem, but you should add wagons for the salt mine connection in Zielitz. One interesting point of this route is the salt mine in Zielitz, they are next to the route and big.

If you would build to Wittenberge, you don't need to add trains. There are only the S1 and freight trains. In front of Wittenberge, there is a bridge over the Elbe.
