Looking for advice on keyboard and mouse can you use both some things I've read from a few years ago says you you can use keyboard but not mouse does that mean you use the keyboard and Xbox pad at the same time and how does the keyboard button layout work does it just swap over what you can do on a pad or does it give you more choices
You can use all of them (on XSX), though if you use a mouse the game will drop 40+ FPS. You get the full PC button mapping on a keyboard. I personally use it for doing stuff that's not mapped to the controller (activating the safety systems, speed-up the camera movement, enable the FPS counter…)

Yes, they work on XSS (they should work on prevgen Xboxes, too, but I'm not gonna put my XOS together just to test this, lol)
I used a keyboard on my XOS so yes 8th gen can use keyboards as well. Its also way easier to redeem codes, use the internet and generally anything you need to type for.
