Hi all... With the recent announcement that keyboards are to work soon with the xbox, is there any intention to make TSW keyboard friendly??? I personslly would much rather play on/with a keyboard than the dang xbox controller...!!! Eric
Keyboard is already working since TSW launch to a certain degree. A few buttons arent working bust most can be used. Still since the M+KB support is already available it would be nice if DTG could add native support for that
So personally I've got some keyboard control's to work apart from breaking on the Class 43 HST but my mouse won't work either. Tried it in all ports on my xbox so I think it's not fully implemented yet
Mouse isnt working in the retail verson. Matt said in a stream that it works in the devkit but they havent enabled it for the retail version. TrainSim-Dmitri , maybe you can pass that a long so it can be considered as a future feature? Would be great to get full M + KB support in TSW on Xbox.
I am playing TSW 98% on PC but i bought RSN for Xbox out of curiosity. Compared to keyboard controls I find it much harder to reach every function and iirc not even all functions have their own button, Sifa and „PZB Wachsam“ share a button which gives you a „Zugbeeinflussing“ everytime you only want to confirm that you are still awake. For this alone, keyboard is a must from my point of view.
I think the answer is 'both'! The Xbox controller is great for driving, but the keyboard is very convenient for switching camera views. Also, some things can only be done from the keyboard, like turning the HUD off and toggling the various markers on and off. TSW is perfectly playable with just the controller, of course, but the keyboard adds some useful functions.
