We have a Mosel valley railyard ! Koblenz-Mosel Gbh or Guterbahnhof ( freight rail station) So even if we cannot get Koblenz to connect with Köln or Aschaffenburg with Frankfurt am Main, or Dresden with Berlin and Prague, surely the lovely Mosel bicycle route deserves a train into Luxembourg via Trier, the Roman ruins town. Only better would be Bingen am Rhein to Heidelburg instead of Mainz ! Will any routes see extensions ? Will any ever interconnect ( such as Dresden ) ? Even if i cannot change trains at Dresden so as to change the route that then loads ... we can hope to see Koblenz reach Trier even if Köln remains out of reach from Koblenz ? Then there are the trains from Frankfurt airport to Frankfurt am Main. Such as a train north through Giesen to interconnect with how many different German Routes ? Fulda to Braunschweig branching to Hannover to Berlin ? Hannover to Hamburg ? hmmm but my XBox emulator awaits Microsoft approval of the TSW4 partial crash fix or fixes ... so i muse about the unlikely but still possible train Simulator that is more than just a game of disconnected amusements. Yawn. r Kanada
This would be appropriate in the suggestion thread. But no, mergers will not happen. The 2 dresdens for example are set in different time periods. Modern day vs. 2012. You also bring other challenges such as having to create a brand new timetable and for it to be dynamic. Extensions are also going to be rare as that is also a big amount of work. Look at sehs and how many changes it needed to get
Different era/year routes should not connect anyways. Technical stuff needs to be improved to make mergers easier.
