Experience the exciting and detailed highlands and mountains of Japan, with the some of the tallest stations above sea level in the world will you take on the gradients in Train Sim world 3: Koumi Line: Kobuchizawa - Komoro.

Hello all! After somehow only (and I mean like half an hour ago) I found out a shocking fact, Union Workshop, Known for east Asian routes, is now in the TSW developer circle. This is AMAZING news for me at least as I am somewhat obsessed with Asian transport with some of the most unique journeys by rail and more in the world. The Koumi line runs for 78.9 km (49 miles) through Japenese highlands and mountains serving 31 stations. Operated by JR east this line is also unique in the sense of quiet a lot of it being single tracked. With enough of that its time to get to the station list and get 15 comments about people who would pronounce them!!!!

    Station list:
    Kobuchizawa
    Kai-Koizumi
    Kai-Oizumi
    Kiyosato
    Nobeyama
    Shinano-Kawakami
    Saku-Hirose
    Saku-Uminokuchi
    Umijiri
    Matsubarako
    Koumi
    Managashi
    Takaiwa
    Yachiho
    Kaize
    Haguroshita
    Aonuma
    Usuda
    Tatsukajo
    Otabe
    Nakagomi
    Namezu
    Kita-Nakagomi
    Iwamurada
    Sakudaira
    Nakasato
    Misato
    Mitsuko
    Otome
    Higashi-Komoro
    Komoro

Right that should be it... sorry if I misspelt ANYTHING there. Onto the rolling stock:

    Finishing thoughts:
Righto thanks for reading, a bit of an odd suggestion considering my mostly British based suggestion but hey, I like Japanese trains. In seriousness though a small yet detailed commuter railway such as this would be an AMAZING transition away from the big 3 and would overall help TSW3 to be even more unique. Thanks for reading everyone, see ya around!!! (Any feedback and any corrections are GREATLY appreciated, this is a thread that has been in the backlogs for a bit of time now but just got round to finishing it off, hence why I was able to post this decently quickly)

Nice to see Japanese route suggestions springing up again with the confirmation of UW joining TSW partner programme. Added this suggestion to the master list. Here's a 2021 cab ride between Kobuchizawa and Komoro on the E200 (begins at 5:00):

Excellent Idea but the KiHa 100 & E200 Tutorials should be in the Training Centre just like all TSW 3 Base routes. This requires the tracks there to be dual gauge to support a 1.067m track Cape Gauge Japan since Current routes are 1.435m Standard Gauge.
