Good evening I don’t know how to activate KVB in the BR186 and the TGV Euroduplex on Strasbourg-Karlsruhe route. Can someone can help me ?
The Manual for the route is not very helpful as it does not mention KVB in the BR186 but it does the TGV Duplex on page 11 https://store.steampowered.com/manual/1637257
It does mention it alright, but the key combination indicated for TGV only starts PZB, even if I put the train on the LGV line in quick drive. I found no way to start the TVM on that train either. Also on ICE3M I found no way to start KVB. The key indicated in the manual switches the TVM, which seems to work (you can even activate it on a line which does not have the infrastructure, so you can with LZB), but I found no way to switch the KVB on. I know from the stream it should be possible, but I'm out of ideas. Edit: I extracted it from key mapper files. Be aware though, that the TGV TVM does not seem to work anyway. On TGV: KVB: ctrl+del KVB active: shift+del TVM: ctrl+numpad plus (but it does not do anything) TVM active: ctrl+shift+numpad plus (ditto) On ICE3M: KVB: ctrl+6 TVM: ctrl+del TVM active: shift+del PZB: ctrl+numpad Enter LZB intervention: ctrl+numpad plus LZB active: ctrl+shift+numpad plus On the 186: KVB: ctrl+del KVB active: shift+del It does not show the screen message, but the buttons on the unit get highlighted as they should. Yet the displays do not work. I'm not sure if the system itself works properly, I think it does not, but it requires more testing.
Well, first of all I think we should get a message it's active, whether there is infrastructure or not. But to be sure, I tested on LGV Marseille-Avignon.
You only get a message to say it is active when the Lineside Equipment activates it. If the train was prepared from cold in a siding then a System Self Test goes thru everything But the unit starts in a warm condition so the self test is excluded So the TVM did not work on Marseille - Avignon?
You talk about the activation message, but not about arming message. Of course it's not consistent across all trains, but on ICE3M there are messages for both and work wherever you are, even in Germany. But ultimately no, it did not work on the LGV, and I tried several times from different starting locations, including passing over the LGV starting point.
