So with new countries on the roadmap, I thought that Finland wouldn’t be completely off the table. The line which would suit TSW2 best, in my opinion of course, is the Lahden Oikorata. From Helsinki to Lahti, at 101 kilometers it’s a bit longer than current TSW routes, but it’s not that much longer. Max speed is 220 km/h between Kerava and Lahti. Rolling stock is Pendolinos ( Sm3), Coradias (Sm4), FLIRTs (Sm5) and InterCities (Sr2/3, RE460/Vectron+ 6/8 double deck coaches). The FLIRTs operate stopping services as far as Kerava, Sm4s semifasts to Lahti (Pasila, Tikkurila, Kerava then all stops) and Pendolinos and InterCities as fast services stopping only at Pasila and Tikkurila. It’s also my local route and I know it very well. From Helsinki, fast services leave mostly at xx:19, with InterCities going at 6:57, 8:19, 10:19, 11:19, 12:19, 13:19, 16:19, 18:19 and 19:19 and Pendolinos going at 5:57, 9:19, 13:57, 14:19, 15:19, 17:19 and 20:19. The 15:19 is a double set, with the front set going to Joensuu and the rear one to Kajaani. Semifasts leave at xx:35, with departures every hour. The first one is at 7:35 and the last one at 00:35. Stoppers leave every 10 minutes, at xx:x5.
