Latest Patch Really A Patchwork, Alas!

The latest patch mostly affects the RHTT pack and the results are mixed:

First of all & completely successful: increasing the track spraying effect:


It's all wet! (and that's a good thing)

Next we proceed to a mixed result in terms of rain effects on the RHTT Class 66's cab windows:

couldn't be better, but as to the front windows, the effect is only partly successful:

(My apologies for the dark-ish images, but the weather is what it is (reminds me of Theodore Roethke's question, "What's the weather in a shoe?").

And then, there's one serious difficulty that this update didn't foresee at all:


The activity I was running when I recorded these screenshots requires shutting down the spray controller -- but as this shot, taken with the cab lights turned on, shows -- you're left, literally, in the dark.

Overall, 2 successes, 1 failure, and a "meh! isn't bad & the team has some more work to do -- I do like that spray, however!

 

Yes, there are some raindrops on the 66's windshields, but they don't seem to match the intensity of the rain falling outside (I'll try to remember to take some more screenshots.)
