Latest Sehs Patch - Reduced Immersion For Journey Mode

From reading the release notes I see that on SEHS Journey Mode has by default the new reduced timetable with no option to use the full timetable. Does this also apply to PC? If so as I suspect, I am definitely not a happy punter as I use Journey Mode 99% of the time. PLEASE make the full timetable default for Journey Mode on PCs; we should not all be penalised because TSW is still running on 10 year old consoles!

 

The series s is not a 10 year old console which caused dtg to create the lighter timetable.

No player services have been removed, only some static stock and "less visible" AI services, so its not that bad

 

There should be both versions of Journey Mode just as there are both versions of the timetable. After all, up until an hour or so ago the fuller timetabled Journey Mode existed, so why not now?

I mostly play Journey Mode for the convenience of it and enjoy doing so. Penalising Gen9 & PC players is not right or fair & nothing will change my mind on that.

We've lost the 4 TGV services in journey mode, personally I think thats a blessing.
As FredElliott states we've also lost some static trains for example the class 385 at Ashford Depot (no hardship), I think we've also lost the MML HST at St Pancras (the only negative IMO) and the ICE 3M on HS1 if I've understood the Preview stream correctly.

 

Only thing I don't like.

St Pancras is now boring. The only AI is Thameslink 700s on the ECML line.

What I don't get about the reduced timetable is that the game no longer crashes at Stratford.

Using the full timetable I still get a crash at Stratford (any service) which ruins it. Curiously, the full timetable only causes the game to crash at this one spot, not anywhere else?

Seems like I'll still be using the full timetable, even if that means not using High Speed 1 services.

 

There is absolutely no need to impose this on PC players, each platform is supposed to have its own separate build, so why does the PC build not have the full-time timetable in journey mode? Same for gen 9 premium consoles for that matter.

 

If none can't have it, no one can. Apparently that is the case.

That's the problem.

All progress is recorded on the lite timetable.

For some reason, what you completed on that timetable didn't transfer over to the same available service in the full timetable.

 

I hadn't seen that thread when I posted that, but I have now

 

I haven't had a chance to check this out for myself being on PC, but I seriously hope that this is not the case. Otherwise, I will be frustrated along with the rest of you and the thought of having to start over again completing what I had already done prior to this patch.

 

I’m on pc steam and is the same lost all my SEHS progress and journey modes reverts to reduced timetable. Also on Xbox X has same result, all lost back to zero

 

So, I'm not big on complaining. But I feel a stand has to be made here:-

I like to play through the chapters in journey mode and tick them off. It's annoying that gold medals often cannot be achieved. But now add the fact I have to use a reduced timetable in journey mode? This is a step too far.
