Friends, good morning. I opened a ticket to report the crashes of TSW5 on PS4, and I am well aware of the limitations required for the game to work reasonably well. I raised a point and was advised to suggest it here. Now that we have a layer selector per line, very much linked to each DLC we have, I would like to know from friends and the DTG team what the possibility is of expanding the layer selector within the DLC itself? For example, in the WCML line on PS4 I can only use Class 350 by default and Class 390 if I own it, but I cannot use Class 377 in timetable mode. I know I can still use it in free and creator mode, but I would like to have a selector so I can also play it in timetable mode, disabling Class 350 and enabling 377, as well as the underground and overground services, and of course with a limit so the game does not crash. Another example is that on the Frankfurt - Fulda line, on the PS4 I can only use the ICE, the BR114 and the Doppelstockwagen, and I think it would be interesting to have the possibility of deactivating these locos in order to access other timetables for other locos, such as the Vecton, BR 423 and so on. I believe that this would even help even more if I wanted only one type of service to appear, although the line as a whole seems monotonous, but it ensures that I play linearly and without crashes.
DTG Alex From what i've readed, the incoming update for gen8 will fix also some of those missing layers? (apart for 377 WCML and freight services on San Bernardino route that requires upgrading to Gen9 consoles)
Fully agree whit you, i'm also on PS4 and have the same layers missing on WCML. For Frankfurt - Fulda route i have missing the BR 193 DB red for freight services, this situation have made me think to buy one PS5 to have those layers playable, but first i'm waiting the next update patch to see if some of those layers will appear after update, if not i will wait to have one PS5
Yes, my idea is precisely to be able to deactivate and activate layers and services within a DLC itself, so that the layers missing due to being on the PS4 allow us to make choices, such as I want to play with the 350 and then with the 377, and not a complete and reduced timetable as occurs in some DLCs. My issue is that in the current situation I cannot buy a PS4 for at least the next three years, so I would like to have this resource so that I can enjoy the other locomotives.
Currently it isn't possible to add a layer and if it disabled by default - so every layer we add is there by default, making your game crash essentially. I am looking at the possibility of having layers that default to off, so that we could include them and then you can turn them on and turn others off. I don't have a date for when this might happen though. Matt.
Thanks for the reply Matt, we hope this gets implemented soon. Just having this layer selector as it is is already a step forward, now let's hope it gets improved.
Hey is this feature still in work? Because i would really want to Drive some other trains on Frankfurt Fulda on Ps4 except the 3 Trains included in the dlc. I would really want to Drive a S-Bahn! Could you pleasee add the additional layers to at least activate them. DTG Matt DTG JD
laui980 Can you play Frankfurt on PS4? Every game started from Frankfurt crashes for me straight away!!!
