Yes, the original numbers on number boards stay on loco ... but we don't want (them)!

Can we please - pretty please with diesel fuel and creosote on top - have the loco numbers paintable and re-numberable?

Doing custom liveries and being stuck with original design numbers on the number boards is not only frustrating but completely ruins the whole experience and enjoyment of doing custom locos. I know I am not the first to mention this (as well as other things that should be changeable or paintable that aren't) nor the only one to hate it.

What's the word from the DTG Tech team on this?

As a secondary issue / request here can we also have it so when using the assigned loco number in LD (the one existing when you repaint the loco) that spawning does not change it... as in the case of the MP15DC in which case it is created as 503 or 504 as assigned in LD, but then spawns in the game as the other number, so now your cab side numbers are unmatched and look stupid.
Why does this even happen? It's like changing the rules in the middle of the game.
This is not the Canadian government so just stop it! We don't need more of that in our lives.

Some locos do have the number boards repaintable, the HSC GP38-2 is one of them, there’s a few others as well IIRC. Should’ve been all of them tbh.
