These 2 lines travel between 2 of Yorkshire’s main Cities, providing journey times of roughly 1hr 15mins (via Harrogate) and 30 mins (via Church Fenton). CrossCountry services run along the route between York & Leeds, although these would only be represented with half a dozen HST workings a day. This route would be set during 2019, so Class 158’s & 170’s would be regulars on the local services via both routes, with LNER HST’s operating a 2 hourly service from Harrogate to Kings Cross as well as the Cross Country HST’s finding some use on services. This timetable would be run based on the XC Fleet’s Friday workings which are as follows:

    Set 1: 0611 LDS-PLY, 1225 PLY-GLC
    Set 2: 0606 EDB-PLY, 1525 PLY-LDS
    Set 3: 0632 DEE-PLY, 1725 PLY-LDS

These would provide the user with 3 ECS services to/from Neville Hill, with 3 passenger services along the stretch of line between York & Leeds.

    Included Rolling Stock
    • Class 158 in Arriva Rail Northern livery upload_2022-9-19_14-50-11.jpeg
Introduced in the late 1980’s, the Class 158 would be utilised on services between York & Leeds via both routes, as well as services bound for the S&C, Halifax & Hull.
    • Class 170 in Northern livery upload_2022-9-20_8-4-50.jpeg
Operates Northern services over the Harrogate Loop line, as well as services between Scarborough & Sheffield (AI at Leeds)
    • Class 43 ‘HST’ in LNER & CrossCountry livery upload_2022-9-20_8-6-57.jpeg upload_2022-9-20_8-7-53.jpeg
Operates services between Harrogate & London as well as Leeds & London. Whilst at the time the HST’s were only diagrammed one service to Harrogate daily, this timetable will have them operate all services from Harrogate as well as the 0605, 0715, 1245 & 1445 from Leeds to Kings Cross and the 1003, 1203 and 2333 (heads via Knottingley & MML) to Leeds. LNER HST’s also worked the 0906, 1306 & 1506 to York, with southbound departures from York at 1202, 1603 & 1802. HST workings that originated at Edinburgh are the 0626 & 0930 departures for Kings Cross, with Kings Cross - Edinburgh departures at 1000 (Aberdeen), 1200 (Inverness), 1500, 1600 (Aberdeen), 1700 & 1800. Departures from Aberdeen were at 0952 (Kings Cross), 1452 (Kings Cross) & 1818 (Leeds). The 0708 Leeds - Aberdeen working was also HST’s and would be one of the few drivable LNER Passenger services on this route. They could also be found on the 0540 Sunderland - Kings Cross and the 2000 return working, as well as the 2200 Kings Cross to Newcastle service. There were also 1 service to/from Inverness per weekday, these being the 1200 departure from Kings Cross and the 0755 Inverness - Kings Cross.
