A route from Leicester Railway Station to Birmingham New Street would be a nice route to enjoy. You can drive from city to city via the Leicestershire countryside passing through an old station of Elmesthorpe (which is now demolished) and stop at the busy towns of Hinckley and Nuneaton before crossing over into the West Midlands on your way down to Birmingham. This route can be operated by Cross Country Class 170 Turbostars as that's what uses the line. Travel time in total is just under an hour.
