the line Leipzig HBF - Saalfeld (Saale) is a 196.2 km long double-track main railway, electrified
Main line in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia, originally in the form of a Prussian
State railway and was built and operated as part of a long-distance connection between Berlin and Munich.

It runs from Leipzig through the valley of the White Elster via Zeitz, Gera, Triptis through the Orlasenke
and Saalfeld to Probstzella. It has its nominal end point at the Thuringian-Bavarian
State border at Ludwigsstadt. Since it is parallel to the Großheringen – Saalfeld railway line, but higher than
this runs, it is also called "Upper Course".

In addition, the RE 42 (Regional Express) plays an important scenario in the Leipzig HBF
via Großkorbetha (no stop) - Weißenfels - Naumburg (Saale) Hbf - Jena Paradies -
Saalfeld - Lichtenfels - Bamberg - Nuremberg runs every 2 hours.

The RE 42 takes over 4 hours to travel from Leipzig to Nuremberg, which is one
Total length of 345 km, which is defensively too long for the Train Simulator. Therefore my suggestion
to build the subdivision only first to Saalfeld (Saale) and the other section to a later
    Time.

    Post traffic:

Regional Express trains have been on the route every two hours since December 2018
Nuremberg - Lichtenfels - Saalfeld - Jena - Leipzig used that between Lichtenfels and Saalfeld
hold anywhere. In addition, a regional express runs between Nuremberg and every two hours
Saalfeld on the route, which only stops at some stations. The offer is provided by a regional train in
Two-hour intervals from Bamberg to Kronach added.

Class 442 railcars are used on all three lines.

    In freight transport:

As push locomotives for freight trains between Pressig-Rothenkirchen and Probstzella mostly come
Class 151 locomotives, but occasionally also those of the 152 series, were used. As the main leader
In freight transport, along with many locomotives from private railway companies, the most common ones are the
The 152 series, but also the 151, 155, 185, 189 and 193 series were used. For handover trips
    the 294 series was used.

3.) Timetable of the RE 42 Leipzig - Nuremberg:

I would be very happy if this route made it into Train Simulator 2020/2021

    Best regards
