I posted a couple of these London Commuter services on the 'Awesome Service Runs' thread which I think would be good on the stream: 2O21 - 15:34 - Milton Keynes-East Croydon - Class 377 Great for several adverse signals. Also, with the 313 layer, this train is held at a red signal by Selhurst as it waits to return back to Lovers Walk. Once you finish the MK service at East Croydon, wait 5 minutes here until around 16:05 and you'll be greeted by a six-car 313 passing fast through the station. 1I63 - Dorking-London Victoria - 21:52 - Class 377 What I found noteworthy on this services was that if you depart exactly on time, you'll be racing another service all the way to Victoria. However, the standout for me on the service was while waiting at a red signal outside Victoria. While waiting, three Class 377s depart at the same time: a fast-bound, a slow-bound and an empty stock move to the sidings which looks pretty cool.
Matt, you've referred a couple of times to the "Awesome Services" thread. Maybe pick some of those to your liking? Also, get well soon. Health is more important than giving us one more stream
Maybe SEHS to celebrate its win. Possibly a service from the Awesome service spreadsheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14YgilvnKZFc7TJXyqftRJ0I5yTMlMf81/edit#gid=419926741 I particualrly like the Empty Coaching stock from Old Rochester station to Rainham.
If there's something(s) that didn't make either top ten that you're especially fond of, play it and sell us on it.
Any chance to see how steam trains are evolving? I´m really looking forward to see smoke all over the place Cheers
I’m intrigued to see anything from one of the following in this order IOW - not seen anything for ages Rapid Transport , same again. Cathcart Cane Creek These are the four routes I’ve swerved for various reasons so in order of preference it’d be good to see them and perhaps persuade me. (Preferably no 377,387s, they’re a bit disengaging to watch) Whatever routes you do, can you call out, show off preserved team enhancements please as you spot them?
Sherman Hill empty Coal service from Cheyenne to Hermosa (at 5:xx am or 20:xx pm) This two trains can be driven at line speed limit, others are just too heavy.
We can live without another stream. Just go to bed and rest. The sooner you get well the sooner you can motivate your teams.
The 2700t super heavy freight service on Dresden, starting at 09.36. Driving the 185.5 MRCE in winter with all the weather settings on max. Any service with the 423 on HMA.
Something on Chemnitz, I don’t mind what service you pick Joke aside, how about an oil run on Northern Transpennine?
I‘d like to see something in SEH with the Javelin or anything on Riesa Dresden (maybe freight). I‘ll be happy to watch whatever you stream so long as you are feeling up to it, but please rest if you need to. I wish you a continued recovery and a Happy New Year.
How about a nice 612 run from Dresden to Chemnitz I feel like a run on the GWE or on London Commuter would be a good one. A bit of ICE on Dresden would be quite good as well - not many stations to miss
Find the most dramatic scenarios and play them! Live stream consumers are interested in drama only nowadays. On a different note, I hope that you get well very soon!
Cool! Gotta echo what others are saying about taking care of yourself, though. If you want to do a stream, because being sick is boring, then wonderful. But please do listen to your body first and foremost. Have to work today, but I'll look forward to catching the stream if you run long or watching it later to see what you pick. (Wonder how your coworkers would feel about a rotating let's play that lets them show off their underdog favorites as well.)
I recently bought Hamburg - Lubeck, and found this service (RE80 11476 at 17:33) to be quite good, particularly in the 112, with a bit of PZB action (spoilers!).
Matt will just have to play for about 12 hours and do all of them, as we watch him crumple and his beard grow to unseen lengths.
matt hello and happy new year to everyone and to the staff, I would like an Italian route with frecciarossa 1000 milan florence rome. Hello
Unfortunately, that's not realistic. It takes 3-9 months just to build a 70 km route. Is there a train line on the Amalfi coast? I bet a route like that would be an instant hit if it also has variety of services and timetables. Anch'io spero che un giorno vediamo un percorso italiano, incrociamo le dita. (Did I get the congiuntivo right?)
These are very interesting, the first one especially connected to when the individual routes were released. Some more recent ones overtaking those released earlier. Personally a bit sad about Clinchfield being apparently not that popular. The second table seems to hint to many people getting the basic game and trying it out, therefore keeping the basic 3 routes on top. Also, only one of the 2021 routes is in the second table... people even played more of the "boring" LGV than most new routes.
FD1003, trust me, you‘re not. I didn‘t get Hamburg-Lübeck specifically because of the 112. The wrong DoStos I‘d have tolerated, but the 112 not looking like a 112 at all completely breaks my immersion.
I'm also disappointed in the magnificent Clinchfield not even making the Top 10 among lines released this year, trailing the dismal Arosa and Cornwall and the indifferent Cane Creek. (It also seems that there is a heavy UK tilt among the player base, given the ranking on both lists of SEHS). All I can think of is that as a vintage American freight route, Clinchfield had too much going against it: players who hate vintage, players who hate freight, and players who will only play German or UK content.
Hi Matt, I don’t know if you will get to read this but my idea of an awesome service would be in the Westcountry from Exeter St Davids to Plymouth and on through Cornwall to Penzance. Probably the Cornish Riviera which, if it still runs, departs London Paddington at around about 11.00hrs, the first stop being Exeter St Davids and then on through some awesome scenery down to Penzance. But please do it in TSW2 not in TS 2022, which really doesn’t do justice to the region in any way, shape or form.
I know I am late, but with the lack of steam, there are some opportunities: Select the most smokey diesel engine. Dresden-Riesa has a lot of smoke near Dresden, drive up and down between Hbf and Neustadt and enjoy it. Play WSR and dream about the steam power.
I blame the small amount of content for it that WSR is not in the top ten, where it definitely should be.
Whoops I deleted my comments a few minutes after I posted it because I figured it was off topic, just to add some context I wrote something along those lines: I am really surprised about HHL... At the end it looked like I was the only one who didn't actually buy it at the end. Anyway I agree, just thinking that I would start to see that BR112 across all my german routes is more than enough to make me avoid that DLC completely.
Exactly. With the current sale on Playstation, I‘m tempted by Hamburg-Lübeck because of the MRCE 182 + IC coaches layer on Dresden Chemnitz, but the thought of seeing the 112 on almost every route is making me stay away. Anyways, I agree that this is probably a bit too off-topic here, so I‘ll leave it at that
A shame to see neither TVL or NTP made it into either Top Ten. And as for WCL, probably people trying it out to see if it really was that awful. Can I put my mischievous hat on and ask for a Top Ten list of the most refunded route in 2021!!??
Probably a bit late to ask this buy why is this in the PC forum? There are other players on console you know.
It’s because it gets the most engagement in this section. Most players know to check all the sub-forum sections for general discussions because they are not usually platform specific and they have to be posted somewhere but only once to comply with the forum rules and avoid the confusion of having multiple threads with the same title. The xbox section is mainly for discussions about why there aren’t any sales for xbox players anyway, ain’t that right kids?
In all seriousness, these boards need to be re-organized into a General forum with separate sub-forums for platform-specific issues.
