Why does the LGV squeak often to limit speed. 230-250-300...in some cases... WOW 200-230-200-230-240-220-240-220-240 O F T E N. It is about the second most annoying thing in the game. (Most annoying is the lack of time compression.... MOST GAMES HAVE IT. This one expects you to sit for 20-30-40 mins waiting for S).

    Anyway.

    Any ideas?

Suspension noise, perhaps? Like the mark 3 coaches from Great Western Express?

Because that's how the train operates. It will change speeds depending on many factors such as traffic on the line, upcoming speed restriction, etc.

What you suggested would take away realism. There is no time compression in real life. It's called a simulator for a reason.

The TGV has the same cab signalling system as the 395 Javelin in the UK. It beeps to indicate speed limit changes, both up and down. It will beep a lot if there are yellows ahead of you. Not that you're running in yellows, but yellows ahead of you. The in cab signalling starts receiving signals and giving recommendations long before trackside does, it's essential when you're moving at close to 200mph. So there could be another train 3 or 4 miles ahead of you and it will be setting your displays and beeps off, because it's supposed to start preparing you to slow down for yellows you have yet to reach. But if that train is moving at the same speed as you and the distance between you stays constant, it's just going to keep beeping every time you hit a signal trigger.

The solution is to slow down for a minute and let the train ahead gain some more ground on you.

Respectfully, I disagree. Having the option to skip time would be really useful for my time-constrained free-time. To preserve realism, simply don't skip time.

If your free-time is so time-constrained, I advice you - respectfully - to play something different

What service or scenario is making you wait for 20-40 minutes? The most you’ll have to wait to start is 2-3 minutes. Unless you talking about speeding up time during a session?

Couldn't you just go back to the main menu and select the service you want to play rather than waiting in real time?

that is what I do, but it would be nice to keep it in one session.
    Will consider, thank you.

If you are on PC you can use the god mode mode or unreal engine unlocker to speed up time
